We recognise that travel is an integral part of the overall experience of visiting and working at The Trafford Centre. That’s why we have already invested in a wide range of travel initiatives including a dedicated bus station with bus services to destinations throughout Greater Manchester, improved pedestrian and cycle paths around the Centre and a state-of the-art traffic system.
These measures have been a great success. We intend to continue to develop and support our travel initiatives at The Trafford Centre and build on our achievements to date. The Travel Plan is the next step; it will integrate and coordinate travel to the Centre and make all journeys easier, making the Centre accessible to even more people.
We are committed to the Travel Plan and hope that through the measurements proposed in the Plan and the development of future schemes such as Metrolink, we will be able to encourage even greater travel choice.
